Latimer’s Strong Play Earns NEAC Award

Junior Connor Latimer (Whitby, ON/Genesee Community College) scored two goals with six assists to power Keuka College’s men’s lacrosse team to its first win of the season.

On Monday, Latimer’s strong play earned the two-time National Junior College Athletic Association All-American attacker the North Eastern Athletic Conference’s (NEAC) co-Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

Keuka handed Emmanuel (Mass.) College a 21-7 defeat Saturday afternoon at Hood College in Baltimore, MD.

Latimer handed out a game-high six assists in the win and has eight assists through two games for the Storm (1-1). Latimer is tied for second in the NEAC in assists.

The Storm, the two-time defending NEAC champions, led 3-0 five minutes in and controlled both sides of the field against the Saints (2-3).

The Green and Gold continued to pressure Emmanuel and took a 14-1 lead into halftime as Latimer scored one goal with five assists while sophomore Derek Pfeiffer (Lee Center, NY/Rome Free Academy) added four goals and one assist in the opening half.

The Storm are on the road for a non-conference game against Alfred University at 6:30 p.m. March 20 before hosting rival Elmira College at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
