Dan Liberto Hired as Volleyball Assistant Coach

Dan Liberto has been hired to serve as Keuka College's assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball teams.
Keuka College has hired Dan Liberto to serve as the assistant volleyball coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. He will assist head coach Ben Guiliano with all aspects of the program, including both the day-to-day operations as well as recruiting future student-athletes to come to campus.
Liberto, 25, a native of Rush, N.Y., spent the past two seasons serving as an assistant coach for the nationally-ranked Nazareth College men’s program. In 2013, Liberto and the Golden Flyers advanced into the NCAA Division III tournament championship before finishing as the national runner-up.
A four-year standout at SUNY New Paltz who graduated in 2010 with majors in geography and history, Liberto compiled more than 1,000 career kills and earned first-team Metro Division honors in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association in 2009.
Liberto, a two-time team captain at New Paltz, said he is excited to take on this new coaching challenge.
“I wanted to be working within a department that values both the academic and athletic success of their student-athletes, and Keuka offers a balanced experience,” Liberto said. “Working under head coach Ben Guiliano, as well as with the rest of the Keuka staff will be invaluable. I’m thrilled to take on this new opportunity and have the ability to work with two programs at an excellent institution.”
Liberto, who also was the assistant women’s volleyball coach at SUNY Geneseo for the past three years, recently completed his Master’s degree in Athletic Administration at the College at Brockport. He graduated from Rush-Henrietta High School in suburban Rochester, N.Y. and in addition to his collegiate coaching duties, Liberto has been a coach with the Rochester-based Pace Bootlegger Volleyball Club and also the Victor Volleyball Club.
