Tuggles, Cunliffe Spark Men’s Hoops

Senior Brian Cunliffe scored a career-high 21 points as Keuka picked up its fourth-straight NEAC win, beating Gallaudet University 82-66 Saturday.
Junior Teddy Tuggles (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) and senior Brian Cunliffe (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) each set career-highs in scoring as the Keuka College men’s basketball team picked up its fourth straight conference victory, defeating Gallaudet University 82-66 Saturday afternoon.
Tuggles scored 30 points while shooting 8-for-14 from the field, including going 4-for-8 on ‘3s’ while Cunliffe added 21 points on 5-for-8 shooting, including going 4-for-6 on ‘3s’ for Keuka (4-8, 4-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference).
The Storm led just 34-32 at halftime but Tuggles scored 16 second-half points and Cunliffe added 13 after the break to spark Keuka to its third straight win.
Keuka clinched the win with accurate shooting at the free-throw line. The Storm connected on 25 of 31 attempts at the free throw line (81 percent) and finished hitting 24 of 52 shots from the field (46.2 percent).
