<p>The women&#8217;s basketball team (18-8), who won the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) regular season championship, was well represented on the All-Conference teams in 2010.</p>
<p>Head Coach Dave Sweet was named the Co-Coach of the Year, with the tournament winners Penn State-Berks.  Sweet has guided the Storm to a 151-93 record over the past ten seasons.</p>
<p>Also recognized by the conference was juniors <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> and <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.)</strong>.</p>
<p>Schrock, a guard, was named to the All-NEAC first team after being selected to the third team last season.  She led Keuka in scoring with 339 points (13), assists with 72 (2.8), and 3-pointers with 63 (2.4).  Schrock became the school&#8217;s all-time leader in made 3-pointers with 131.  Schrock was also second on the team in steals with 59 (2.3) while grabbing 72 rebounds (2.8).</p>
<p>Madmoune, a forward, repeated as a member of the All-NEAC third team.  She led Keuka in rebounding with 190 (7.6) while finishing third in scoring with 218 points (8.7).  Madmoune also led the Storm in blocks with 19 (0.8) and finished second in assists with 55 (2.2).</p>

<p>The top-seeded Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team was upset by the No.5 seeded University of Dallas in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament semifinals at Penn State-Berks on Saturday by a score of 71-58.  Keuka knocked Dallas out of the Tournament last season.  This marks just the second time in the past eight years that the Storm have not won the conference tournament title.</p>
<p>The Storm finish the season with an 18-8 overall record and had won seven straight games before the loss.  Dallas improves to 15-12 overall and will now play Penn State-Berks in the NEAC Championship on Sunday.</p>
<p>Both teams tallied 28 points in the first half with Dallas making two more field goals (11-9) while Keuka connected on six more free throws (9-3).  Dallas returned the favor from the free throw line in the second half, hitting 23-of-30 free throws to pull away from the Storm.  Keuka managed just 12 trips to the charity stripe, making ten.  For the game, Dallas shot 34% (21-for-62) while Keuka was 29% from the floor (17-for-58).  The Storm led in rebounds (49-46) and 3-pointers (5-3).<span id="more-7652"></span></p>
<p>Junior <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.) </strong>led Keuka with 18 points while going 5-of-12 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the free throw line.  Madmoune also had a team-high two assists and two blocks to go with her seven rebounds.</p>
<p>Fellow junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> added 17 points while going 9-for-10 from the line.  Junior <strong>Heather Fish (Newfield, N.Y./Newfield)</strong> was the only other Storm player in double figures with 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.</p>
<p>Dallas was led by Cara Sczepanski who had 22 points and 10 rebounds while going 14-for-16 from the free throw line.</p>

<p>The top seeded Storm survived its North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament quarterfinal match up with the No. 8 seeded Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg by a score of 74-60 on Friday.</p>
<p>With the win, Keuka improves to 18-7 overall and sets up a semifinal match-up against No. 5 seed the University of Dallas, who upset the No. 4 seed SUNYIT.  Harrisburg finishes its season with an 11-16 overall record.</p>
<p>The Nittany Lions used seven first-half 3-pointers and a 48 shooting percentage (12-for-25) to stay with the Storm in the opening period.  Keuka still held a two-point (35-33) halftime advantage.</p>
<p>Keuka pulled away in the second half, going up by as many as 23 points with six minutes remaining before finishing with a 14-point lead at the end.  Keuka shot 43% (25-for-58) from the floor and went an impressive 18-for-23 from the free throw line (78%).  Harrisburg shot 22-for-60 (37%) from the floor but managed just 7-of-23 from the charity stripe (30%).  Keuka crushed Harrisburg in rebounds (48-34) but turned the ball over 27 times to just 19 forthe Nittany Lions. <span id="more-7643"></span></p>
<p>Rookie forward <strong>Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.)</strong> adjusted nicely in her first-ever playoff game as she led all Keuka scorers with 20 points going 9-for-14 from the floor.  Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> added 15 points and four assists, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the line.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford)</strong> was the only other player in double figures as she hit 4-of-7 3-point attempts for 12 points.  Senior <strong>Melissa Thurston (Batavia, N.Y./Batavia)</strong> added eight points and a game-high five steals.</p>
<p>Harrisburg was led by Stephanie Yetter&#8217;s 14 points while Nicola Zangari added 13 points and eight rebounds.</p>

<p>The Keuka College women&#8217;s basketball team earned the top seed for the upcoming North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament and will play its first game at Penn State-Berks this Friday, Feb. 26 against the winner of the No. 8 Penn State-Harrisburg vs. No. 9 Penn State-Abington play-in game.  The game will be played at 8 pm.</p>
<p>The Storm look for its second straight NEAC title and have won six of the last seven dating back to 2003.  The Storm finished the regular season with a 17-7 overall record.</p>

<p>The Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team enjoyed an easy 72-51 win over the Phoenix of Wilson College on the road Sunday in its final regular season game of the season.</p>
<p>Keuka ends the regular season with a 17-7 overall record while Wilson ends at 2-21.</p>
<p>The Storm jumped out to a 39-22 halftime lead after hitting 15 first-half field goals to just nine for Wilson.  Keuka poured in 33 second half points while allowing Wilson to score 29.  For the game, Keuka shot 42% (30-for-71) while Wilson shot 21-for-58 (36%).  The Phoenix grabbed 11 more rebounds (48-37) but had 27 turnovers to the Storm&#8217;s eight.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> led all Keuka scorers with 20 points while going 7-of-12 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the arc.  Rookie <strong>Latasha Santana (Rochester, N.Y./East)</strong> added 10 points and a team-high three assists and six steals.<span id="more-7569"></span></p>
<p>Junior <strong>Morgan Engelbert (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> added 10 points while going 5-for-5 from the floor.  Freshman <strong>Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.)</strong> added nine points and seven rebounds.</p>
<p>Tara Fields led Wilson with 24 points while Alaina Hofer added 17 points and 16 rebounds.</p>
<p>Keuka will next play the winner of the the #8 Penn State-Harrisburg vs. #9 Penn State-Abington play-in game this Friday, Feb. 26 at 8 pm at Penn State-Berks.</p>

<p>The Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team won its fifth straight game as they knocked off the Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg for the second time this season by a score of 62-47 on Saturday.  The game was played at Harrisburg.</p>
<p>The five-game winning streak is the Storm&#8217;s third streak this season of at least five games as they improve to 16-7 on the year.  Harrisburg falls to 9-15 overall.</p>
<p>Keuka was consistent throughout the game, scoring 31 points in each half and limiting Harrisburg to 23 and 24 points, respectively.  The Storm held a 31-23 halftime lead and the limited the Nittany Lions to just 23% shooting in the second half.  For the game, Keuka shot 40% (23-for-57) while Harrisburg went 16-for-64 (25%).  The Storm grabbed one more rebound (44-43) while dishing out five more assists (14-9).<span id="more-7561"></span></p>
<p>Keuka used a strong performance by its rookie forward <strong>Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.)</strong>, who posted yet another double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  The six footer went 6-for-8 from the floor.  Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> was the only other Storm player in double figures with 11 points while hitting two 3-pointers.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.)</strong> added nine points, six rebounds, and a game-high five assists while classmate <strong>Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford)</strong> also netted nine points.</p>
<p>Dorthea Dixon led Harrisburg in all three major stat categories with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.</p>
<p>Keuka will next play at Wilson College this Sunday, Feb. 21 in its final regular season game beginning at 1 pm.</p>

<p>In a battle of the top two teams in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), it was the Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team that punished the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill by a score of 56-40 at Keuka on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Keuka improves to 15-7 overall with the win while Cobleskill, who was held to a season-low 40 points, slips to 15-7 on the year.</p>
<p>Both teams struggled from the floor as they combined for just 15 first half field goals while Cobleskill held a two-point (21-19) halftime lead.</p>
<p>The Storm&#8217;s defense completely shut down the Fighting Tigers offense in the second half as they held them to just 19 points and only 23% (6-for-26) shooting.  Keuka caught fire from behind the arc, hitting 6-of-12 from long range to put up 37 second half points.  For the game, Keuka shot 31% (18-for-58) while Cobleskill went 14-for-53 (26%).  The Storm held a 7-rebound advantage (46-39).<span id="more-7510"></span></p>
<p>Junior <strong>Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford)</strong> hit four of the Storm&#8217;s seven 3-pointers as she went 4-for-8 from behind the arc.  Fink finished with a game-high 16 points.  Classmate <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> added 14 points and three steals.</p>

<p>The Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team used a 10-point halftime lead to cruise to a 58-47 win over the visiting Nittany Lions of Penn State-Berks on Sunday.</p>
<p>The win is Keuka&#8217;s ninth in its last 11 games as they now stand at 14-7 overall.  Penn State-Berks slips to 12-9 on the year.</p>
<p>The Storm used four 3-pointers and 7-of-8 shooting from the free throw line to build a 10-point (31-21) halftime lead.  Keuka&#8217;s defense held Berks to just nine first half field goals.</p>
<p>The Storm&#8217;s defense continued to corrupt the Nittany Lions offensive plans as they were held to just six field goals and a shooting percentage of just 21.  Keuka outscored Berks 27-26 in the second half.<span id="more-7490"></span></p>
<p>For the game, Keuka shot 36% (22-for-62) while Berks went 15-for-56 (27%).  The Storm held a strong advantage in rebounds (50-39) while collecting 12 steals.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> led all Keuka scorers with 18 points while making three 3-pointers, dishing off a game-high six assists, and grabbing five rebounds.    Rookie <strong>Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.)</strong> added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.)</strong> chipped in with 12 rebounds, eight points, and two blocks while senior <strong>Melissa Thurston (Batavia, N.Y./Batavia)</strong> had eight points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Junior <strong>Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford)</strong> had nine points.</p>
<p>Courtney Bailey led Penn State-Berks with a game-high 20 points and 15 rebounds.  Jasmine Harris-Kane added 12 points despite going 4-for-21 from the floor.</p>
<p>Keuka will next play host to SUNY Cobleskill this Wednesday, Feb. 17 beginning at 6 pm.</p>

<p>Keuka wins its second straight and improve to 13-7 overall while Abington falls to 4-17 on the year.</p>
<p>The Storm did the majority of its damage in the first half as they hit seven 3-pointers to build a 10-point halftime lead (37-27).  The Nittany Lions out-scored Keuka 30-27 in the second half but could never get close enough to tie the game or take the lead.  <span id="more-7471"></span></p>
<p>For the game, both teams shot 37% from the floor while Keuka hit 10 3-pointers to Abington&#8217;s seven.  The Storm struggled from the free throw line going just 8-for-19 but had 44 rebounds and 16 assists to make up for its charity stripe woes.</p>
<p>Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong> had her second straight game with at least five 3-pointers as she went for a game-high 20 points while adding six rebounds, and four assists.  Classmate <strong>Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford)</strong> added 15 points while netting three 3-pointers. </p>
<p>Junior <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy)</strong> chipped in with seven points and team-highs in assists (five) and rebounds (nine).  Rookie <strong>Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.)</strong> posted seven points and eight rebounds.</p>
<p>Abington was led by Samantha Frick&#8217;s 18 points while Kerri Gallagher added 17 points.</p>
<p>Keuka will next play host to Penn State-Berks, Sunday, Feb. 14 beginning at 1 pm.</p>

<p>The Keuka women&#8217;s basketball team used a huge first half to dominate the visiting Wildcats of Cazenovia College to a tune of 92-58 on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Keuka snaps a two-game skid and now sits at 12-7 overall while Cazenovia slips to 9-11 on the year.</p>
<p>The Storm came out on a fire as they put up 55 first half points while shooting 57% (20-for-35) from the floor.  Keuka hit eight first half 3-pointers (8-for-14) while dishing off an astounding 17 assists.  Cazenovia managed just 27 points on 10-of-29 shooting (35%).</p>
<p>The Storm outscored Cazenovia 37-31 in the second half while hitting five more 3-pointers.  For the game Keuka shot 34-for-68 (50%) from the floor and 13-for-25 (52%) from behind the arc.  Cazenovia finished at 36% (22-for-62).  Keuka had 44 rebounds to Cazenovia&#8217;s 38 while dishing out 28 assists and collecting 19 steals.<span id="more-7460"></span></p>
<p>Junior <strong>Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison)</strong>  had a huge game ending with 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting. The sharpshooter hit seven 3-pointers while also dishing out six assists and collecting eight steals. </p>
<p>Junior <strong>Heather Fish (Newfield, N.Y./Newfield)</strong> added a double-double off the bench with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Classmate <strong>Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy)</strong> added 15 points, five assists, and six rebounds.  Senior <strong>Melissa Thurston (Batavia, N.Y./Batavia)</strong> chipped in with nine points and seven assists.</p>
<p>Cazenovia was led by Colleen Clarke who netted 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.</p>
<p>Keuka will next play host to Penn State-Abington this Saturday, Feb. 13 beginning at 1 pm.</p>
