Women’s Tennis Shutout by Roberts In Home Opener
Sophomore Brin Benjamin lost her doubles match by a score of 6-8.
The Keuka College women’s tennis team fell by a score of 9-0 to the Raiders of Roberts Wesleyan College in its home opener on Tuesday. The Storm slip to 0-2 on the young season while Roberts stays undefeated at 5-0.
The Raiders began the match by taking all three doubles matches. Sophomores Brin Benjamin (Carlisle, Pa/Carlisle) and Kara Dewitt (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) came the closest to winning as they fell 6-8 in the third flight.
Roberts then won all six singles matches to complete the shutout.
Keuka will next play host to Alfred University this Thursday, Sept. 23 beginning at 4 pm.
