Burke enters her seventh season as the women’s soccer head coach, and sports a 61-40-6 overall record entering the 2012 season.

During her time leading the Green and Gold, the Storm has qualified for the NCAA Division III postseason tournament in three of the last four seasons, and has captured the North Eastern Athletic Conference’s (NEAC) championship on several occasions, including in 2010 when the Storm posted an 11-6-2 overall record and went 8-2-1 in conference play.

The 2011 version of the Storm went 8-7-1 overall and 8-3-1 while earning the fourth seed in the NEAC tournament. Keuka fell in its first-round game to Penn State-Berks, but the Storm still placed five players on the year-ending all-conference teams.

Burke’s Keuka squad went 10-9 overall record and 8-2 in the NEAC in 2009 while also playing in the programs third ever NCAA Tournament.  The two conference losses were her first two NEAC losses in three years. 

In 2008, Burke’s squad went 10-6-3 overall while winning the NEAC regular season and tournament championships as well as making just the program’s second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.  She has guided Keuka to a 42-27-3 overall and a 33-4-1 conference record in her first four seasons.

In 2007, Burke led the Storm to the NEAC regular season championship with a perfect 9-0 mark while earning her second straight NEAC Coach of the Year award.  Keuka advanced to the ECAC Upstate Tournament while going 12-6 overall.

In 2006, her first year with the Storm soccer program, Burke led Keuka to a 10-6 (9-2 NEAC) record while being named the NEAC Coach of the Year.

Burke has also coached the softball team and enters her seventh season as the head coach. Burke has compiled an overall record of 137-47-1 through her first six seasons and has guided the team to five straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) titles and NCAA Tournament appearances.

In 2011, the Storm once again qualified for the annual NCAA tournament, posting an impressive 23-5-1 overall mark while going a perfect 14-0 against NEAC foes. Keuka won its first two NCAA regional games and advanced into the regional finals before finishing with a 3-2 record in the regional round, including a pair of wins over regionally-ranked Ithaca College. Burke once again earned NEAC Co-Coach of the Year honors, and had seven women earn All-NEAC honors, including six on the first-team.

Burke led the Storm to a perfect 20-0 conference mark in 2010 while winning the regular season and tournament championships and playing in its fourth straight NCAA Tournament.  In the spring of 2009, Burke steered Keuka to its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the NEAC tournament again.  She was named NEAC Coach of the Year in 2008.  The year before (2007), Burke guided the Storm to a school record 25 (25-6) wins, a NEAC Tournament Championship, and the Storm’s first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

In the fall of 2008, Burke was inducted into the Section V Basketball Hall of Fame along with her father.  Burke was the first woman in Section V history to amass 2,000 points and is currently second all-time with 2,458.

Before coming to Keuka, Burke coached at Prattsburgh’s high school leading the softball team to a pair of Section 5 Class D championships and five straight Steuben County League Division II titles in recent years.  She coached the junior high soccer team from 1999-2001.

The 2003 Sportswriters and Coaches Organization for Girl’s Sports (NYSSCOGS) Class D Softball Coach of the Year, Burke also served as head women’s basketball coach at Prattsburgh.  She led the Vikings to the Section 5 Class D title in 2003.

Burke also coached at the collegiate level, assisting in both women’s basketball and softball at SUNY Geneseo from 1998-1999.

Burke received a bachelor of science degree in physical education from Canisius College in 1998 and is pursuing a master of science degree in sports management from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.

She was a member of the Canisius College women’s basketball team from 1995-98 and was selected to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team from 1996-98.

A standout athlete at Prattsburgh, she held the national high school record for batting average in softball from 1993 to 2000, and holds various New York State basketball records.
